§ 02  ·  Community Resource Persons

Students first, facilitators second.

Most women teaching today sat in a cohort themselves, not long before. One of them:

Shankari Purkait Mondal

Community Resource Person  ·  Baruipur, West Bengal

A Community Resource Person at a workshop

মানুষকে আর্থিক পরিস্থিতির মোকাবেলা করতে হবে, তাদের কাছে টাকা থাকতে হবে।

People have to be able to face a financial situation. They have to have money of their own.

Shankari Purkait Mondal  ·  spoken in Bengali

Shankari came through the program as a participant and now carries it forward for the women around her. Her conviction is plain: no woman should fall behind for want of money of her own. After Rehaan's session she gave her blessing for the work to reach further, so that more women learn what she is now ready to teach.

From a workshop in Baruipur

সব মা যেন অর্থের অভাবে পিছিয়ে না পড়ে।

So that no mother falls behind for want of money.
Shankari Purkait Mondal  ·  Community Resource Person, Baruipur

§ 03  ·  Students

What she took from the session, and carries to others.

Some students carry what they learn straight back to the women around them. One of them:

Lakshmi Mondal

Community Resource Person  ·  Baruipur, West Bengal

Lakshmi Mondal, a Community Resource Person, at a workshop in Baruipur

শেখার কোনো বয়স হয় না।

Learning has no age.

Lakshmi Mondal  ·  spoken in Bengali

Lakshmi took the session wanting to bring what she learned back to her family and to the women around her. Her takeaway was as much about learning itself as about money: that there is much to learn even from the young, and every reason to pass it on.
